Invisalign Orthodontics
Invisalign is extremely effective at straightening teeth. While the treatment takes the same amount of time as traditional braces, Invisalign is more comfortable since there are no metal wires and brackets on your teeth. Instead, this treatment uses a series of clear removable aligners custom fit to your mouth. Even up close, people won’t be able to tell that you’re wearing Invisalign.
When you’re interested in Invisalign, Dr. Griffin will examine your mouth to determine if this treatment is right for you. If it is, we will take photographs, x-rays, and an impression of your teeth. A treatment plan will then be created that will determine exactly how the teeth are to be straightened. During treatment, your records will be sent to Invisalign along with your treatment plan. Using 3-D computer technology, Invisalign will create a series of precisely customized aligners.
Each set of aligners should be worn for about two weeks. You will need to wear these aligners all the time except when you are eating, drinking, or cleaning your teeth. During this time, the aligners will gradually move your teeth closer to the result you desire.
Throughout your treatment, check-up appointments will be scheduled about every six weeks. This helps Dr. Griffin make sure that your treatment is progressing. As treatment nears completion, Dr. Griffin will create a retention plan to help you keep your smile for life.
