Periodontal Gum Disease
Periodontal or gum disease is a serious infection of the gums and other tissues surrounding the teeth. The early stages of gun disease aren’t painful, so many patients forego treatment. That can be a big mistake since gum disease is the most treatable in its early stages. When left untreated, gum disease leads to tooth and bone loss. Recent research has also linked periodontal gum disease to other, more serious conditions, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, respiratory disease, and premature low-weight babies.
Our practice takes gum disease seriously. Dr. Griffin offers a wide variety of periodontics therapies, such as deep scaling, root planning, and therapeutic medicines. We also offer sedation dentistry to help feel comfortable while we treat you.
If it’s been a while since you’ve been to the dentist, don’t worry. Dr. Griffin is a friendly man who won’t lecture you. Instead, he wants you to get the treatment you deserve. If you think you may have periodontal disease, call our practice to schedule a consultation with Dr. Griffin.
